Description
It all started when…
I was in Brooklyn College and decided to take my first undergraduate psychology course. I discovered that the brain and mind were such interesting and complex entities. From that moment on, I chose to learn more about psychology, and eventually go into psychotherapy. My goal was to help others make sense of their inner world, their struggles, their hopes and dreams. After about 20 years, I’ve worked with children, adolescents, adults, families, and veterans in a myriad of settings.
I’m a U.S. Army veteran served from 1991 – 2002. I attended Brooklyn College where I obtained a BA in Psychology. I attended Long Island University – Brooklyn Campus where I obtained an MA in Psychology, and a MS in Mental Health Counseling. I’m licensed in the state of New York to practice mental health counseling. I’m also an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), and Board Certified Telemental Health Counselor (BC-TMH). Among other things, I’m a Director in a mental health facility providing readjustment counseling for combat veterans and their families, and counseling for military sexual trauma survivors.
